COELIAC SOCIETY OF VICTORIA

Jane Davies was diagnosed with coeliac disease six years ago and has been working for The Coeliac Society for over five years. It has been a rewarding journey for Jane, learning about the disease and adapting to a gluten free lifestyle herself as well as improving services and benefits for the newly diagnosed members of The Coeliac Society of Victoria. Jane has enjoyed working collaboratively with the Coeliac Research Fund to raise awareness among the general public, with a goal of increasing coeliac diagnosis rates across Australia. Encouraging manufacturers to produce a high quality of gluten free foods has also been a keen interest for Jane as well as the members of The Coeliac Society – not only ready to eat, but base ingredients to ensure home cooked meals are just as tasty, even though gluten free.
