Deep Fried Apple With Caramel Sauce

How many would it make: 4 portion

Ingredients list:


4 apples cored and cut into 8 pieces
1 cup vitarium batter mix
1 cup water
1 tablespoon brown sugar
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
Oil for deep frying
For sauce :
50gm butter
½ cup brown sugar
300ml cream


Method:

Heat oil in saucepan or deep fryer. Core and cut apples into 8 pieces each. (Allow 1 apple per person)
Prepare batter mix and water add brown sugar and cinnamon and mix until smooth.
Coat apple pieces in batter and place in oil ( make sure oil is really hot )turning them as they cook until golden brown .
When all apple pieces are cooked place on paper towel to drain and prepare sauce.
For sauce place butter in saucepan on medium heat, when melted add sugar and stir until dissolved.
Slowly add cream mixing until well combined and smooth and glossy.
Arrange apple pieces on plate drizzle over sauce and serve. ( A little ice-cream or cream is always extra yummy)
This recipe is great with bananas and pineapple rings too!!!!
